An Age, Gender and Diversity Mainstreaming workshop

Worldwide UNHCR aims at involving refugees, internally displaced persons and returnees in the process of assessing their needs for assistance and protection.

In order to gain deeper understanding of the protection and assistance problems they face, it is essential to consult displaced men, women and children directly and to listen to them. As part of this effort an Age, Gender and Diversity Mainstreaming workshop was held in Stockholm from 23rd to 25th May.

The workshop was organized by the UNHCR Regional Office for the Baltic and Nordic Countries in Stockholm with participation of representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden.

The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Malika Floor, Senior Regional Advisor and Ms. Susin Park, Senior Legal Officer from UNHCR Geneva.
