An Investment in the Future

UNHCR’s Regional Office in Stockholm offers internships to young people throughout the year. The internships normally lasts between three to six months, and are unpaid.

The kind of work interns are offered depends on UNHCR requirements as well as the qualifications and interests of the applicant. Most interns work on a project which will benefit both them and UNHCR, within the fields of refugee protection (legal), external relations and public information, private sector fundraising, and administration.

A good knowledge of the region is essential for all interns. Fluency in oral and written English, working knowledge of one or more of the Nordic and/or Baltic languages is required.
