The High Commissioner for Refugees, António Guterres strongly condemns today’s rocket attack on Camp Liberty in Iraq that reportedly killed two people and wounded dozens.
UN humanitarian agencies announced today in Geneva a major new funding push relating to the humanitarian situations inside Syria as well as that in the surrounding region.
The UN refugee agency on Tuesday said it has been seeing small numbers of refugees arriving in eastern Lebanon after escaping from the embattled Syrian town of Al Qusayr, where heavy fighting flared up three weeks ago.

The UN refugee agency on Wednesday voiced concern about the safety and welfare of people displaced in northern Nigeria by the activities of the militant Boko Haram group and the government's response. UNHCR also urged Nigeria and other governments in the region to offer protection to the internally displaced or those seeking asylum.
